About Alpha Matriculation Higher Sec. School

Puducherry Alpha Matriculation School was founded in the year 1992 with the aim of providing an international standard of education, from Nursery to grade 12, following the State Board & CBSE curriculum.

It began as a dream, fuelled by passion, faith and a deep will. The Founder Chairman Mr. Bashingam’s vision was to establish school that would nurture outstanding students, especially those who are economically challenged. Emboldened by the support of his family, He took his passion and experience further to set up this world-class educational institutions.

This dream was further realised by Mr. Dana Thiyagou, the Firstborn of the Founder Chairman. He aimed to transform an individual into a complete personality with character and ability through academic excellence. He introduced many facilities and schemes and the school developed in every aspect henceforth, the School reputation for excellent teaching methods spread rapidly. Alpha won several awards by the Government of Puducherry to honour their service in the field of Education.

AMHSS motto is ‘Work Conquers all.’ In keeping with this, learning is investigative and creative, giving children every opportunity to develop academically, physically and artistically with a sense of respect and strong set of values. AMHSS has well experienced teachers with a student teacher ratio of 5:1, who are up to date with current thinking and practice.

AMHSS offers admissions twice a year. The School provides a highly customised environment tailored to suit each student’s requirements and needs, and ensures that adequate support is provided to make the child feel comfortable and transform into a confident learner.

The Management encourages and ensures quality learning and individual attention to each and every student. Each child is nurtured and given the requisite support such as immersion programs, bridging courses and support English language classes for non-English speaking students to ensure that the child gets the required individual attention. The School has proven record of 100% results for last 22 years and are able to guarantee such care and is able to accommodate each student’s requirements based on their learning capability.

The NEET coaching has been introduced since 2017, The Students from Grade 6 onwards has NEET syllabus coaching given by an expert as part of their curricula called as “Foundation Course”. The School adopts highly innovative styles of teaching and has periodically introduced and held several programs to aid holistic learning such as ‘Exploratory Week’, ’Enrichment Programs’ & ‘Competitive Coaching’.
